Watershed Management Zones (WMZ)

This map shows the performance requirements for Regulated Projects that must comply with the Retention Requirement (see R3-2013-0032 Performance Requirement No. 3 Runoff Retention). The map combines information from the NDPES Permit Area, Watershed Management Zones, and the Groundwater Basin to identify the specific retention requirements that apply. The green shading below depicts urban areas where infiltration is required for 95th percentile storms (Zone 1 and Zones 4,7, and 10 within groundwater basin). The red shading below depicts urban areas where storage is required for 95th percentile storms (Zone 2). The purple shading below depicts urban areas where infiltration is required for 85th percentile storms (Zones 5 and 8). Areas with no shading may be subject to other stormwater management requirements. See http://www.sbprojectcleanwater.org/development.aspx?id=76.

Disclaimer: Within the County of Santa Barbara MS4 permit boundary, there are parcels over which the County does not have jurisdiction, such as state and/or federal land. These parcels are not indicated. Furthermore, this map is for representation only and data are not survey-accurate.
